Itineraries
Day 1
Arrival in Kilimanjaro / Moshi
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to a lodge in Moshi for briefing and overnight stay.
Day 2
Rongai Gate to Simba Camp (2,600m – 3,420m)
Begin the trek through lush rainforest and savannah, reaching Simba Camp for your first night on the mountain.
Day 3
Simba Camp to Kikelewa Camp (3,420m – 4,400m)
Trek across moorlands and giant heather zones to Kikelewa Camp, enjoying sweeping views of the Kenyan plains.
Day 4
Kikelewa Camp to Mawenzi Tarn Camp (4,400m – 4,900m)
Continue through alpine desert to Mawenzi Tarn Camp, preparing for the final ascent.
Day 5
Summit Day (Mawenzi Tarn Camp to Uhuru Peak 5,895m, then down to Millennium Camp 3,080m)
Begin a night ascent to reach Uhuru Peak at sunrise. After celebrating at the summit, descend to Millennium Camp for rest.
Day 6
Millennium Camp to Marangu Gate / Departure
Trek down to Marangu Gate for certificates and transfer back to Moshi or Kilimanjaro Airport for onward travel.
