Itineraries
Day 1
Arrival in Kilimanjaro / Moshi
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to a lodge in Moshi for briefing and overnight stay.
Day 2
Machame Gate to Machame Camp (1,800m – 3,000m)
Begin the trek through tropical rainforest to Machame Camp, set in a lush and scenic environment.
Day 3
Machame Camp to Shira Camp (3,000m – 3,840m)
Trek through the heath and moorland zone, enjoying panoramic views as you reach Shira Camp.
Day 4
Shira Camp to Barranco Camp (3,840m – 3,950m)
Cross the Shira Plateau and descend slightly to Barranco Camp, preparing for the Barranco Wall challenge.
Day 5
Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp (3,950m – 4,035m)
Climb the Barranco Wall, then traverse the alpine desert to reach Karanga Camp.
Day 6
Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp (4,035m – 4,640m)
Ascend to Barafu Camp, the final stop before the summit push. Prepare for the early night departure.
Day 7
Summit Day & Descent to Mweka Gate (4,640m – 5,895m – 1,640m)
Begin a pre-dawn climb to Uhuru Peak to witness sunrise. After summiting, descend through Barafu and Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate for certificates and return transfers.
